Greece’s Ministry of National Economy and Finance announced that Minister and Eurogroup President Kyriakos Pierrakakis is scheduled to deliver a keynote address in Brussels on the competitiveness of Europe’s banking sector. The event, co-hosted by BusinessEurope and the European Banking Federation, will focus on greater integration of the European banking market and its capacity to channel more capital to businesses, investment and economic growth. Pierrakakis will also hold a joint discussion with European Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union Maria Luís Albuquerque. The event follows the European Commission’s analysis of European Union banking sector competitiveness under the Savings and Investments Union.
