The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa) announced the winners of its national “Financial Literacy in Verse” competition for elementary schools, awarding first place to the 4a class of the First Elementary School Ogulin for a video that combines music, lyrics and financial terms. The school will receive an interactive display as the prize. The initiative marked Hanfa’s fourth contest for elementary schools and its first to use a format centred on songwriting about financial literacy. Twenty four schools from across Croatia submitted entries in styles including rap, rhymes and bećarac, with Ivo Andrić Elementary School placing second and Kneginec Gornji Elementary School placing third; the winners also visited Hanfa’s premises as part of the award programme. Hanfa invited elementary and high schools to follow its educational activities and participate in future contests.
