The Central Bank of Russia reported that broad money supply (M2X) rose 1.0% in August, driven mainly by corporate deposits, while annual M2X growth slowed to 12.2%. Credit to the economy increased from July but its annual growth rate declined, remaining the main source of money supply growth alongside a positive contribution from fiscal operations.
