The Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Finance released details of an introductory meeting between Finance Minister Davendranath Tancoo and representatives of CAF Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, focused on ongoing government initiatives and CAF’s role as Trinidad and Tobago’s principal multilateral development partner. CAF’s engagement is channelled through the Ministry of Finance as the country’s official focal point, covering loan financing and technical assistance for areas including flood mitigation, corporate governance for state-owned entities, digital payments and e-identity, and public procurement. CAF also advised that Trinidad and Tobago assumed the chairmanship of CAF’s Board of Directors for a one-year term following the CLXXXIV Board meeting held on March 27 in Santiago, Chile.
