Bank of Indonesia published its latest Business Survey indicating that business activity was maintained in the third quarter of 2025, with the Weighted Net Balance (WNB) at 11.55%, broadly unchanged from 11.70% in the previous quarter. Performance remained positive across all economic sectors, with improvements most evident in Mining and Quarrying, Construction, the Manufacturing Industry, Financial Services, and Public Administration, Defence and Compulsory Social Security, supported by higher activity, ongoing project construction and government budget realisation. Production capacity utilisation rose to 73.84% from 73.58% in the second quarter of 2025, while corporate financial conditions were generally sound in liquidity and profitability, alongside looser access to credit. Respondents expect business activity to continue growing in the fourth quarter of 2025, with a forecast WNB of 10.53%, led by Wholesale and Retail Trade and vehicle repair, Transportation and Storage, Accommodation and Food Service Activities, and Information and Communication, reflecting anticipated seasonal demand around the Christmas and New Year period.
