Trinidad and Tobago’s Ministry of Finance announced that Minister of Finance Davendranath Tancoo travelled to Panama City to attend CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean’s Board of Directors and XLVI Audit Committee meetings scheduled for 15–16 December 2025, and is expected to preside as CAF Chairman. He is accompanied by Jimmy Wong, Senior Debt Analyst at the Ministry of Finance. The CLXXXVII Board of Directors meeting on 16 December is set to review and approve CAF’s 2026 programme of activities and budget and consider authorisations for credit operations. Agenda items include the allocation of Series C shares for Haiti and Saint Kitts and Nevis, confirmation that Barbados has met conditions to transition to full member status, and consideration of sovereign and non-sovereign operations across sectors including energy, electricity transmission, water and infrastructure, alongside programmes supporting institutional development and private-sector investment.
