The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority announced the results of its annual member-firm election for two seats on its Board of Governors, selecting J. Bradford Eichler as Large Firm Governor and Erin Baskett as Small Firm Governor. Eichler, chief operating officer of Stephens Inc., will fill the Large Firm Governor seat vacated by Penny Pennington. Baskett, chief executive officer of Sine Qua Non Capital LLC, will fill the Small Firm Governor seat vacated by Linde Murphy. FINRA noted that it is overseen by a 22-member Board of Governors, with a majority of seats designated for public members, 10 seats for industry members and one seat reserved for FINRA’s CEO; governors serve three-year terms and may not serve more than two consecutive terms. FINRA’s next Board of Governors meeting is scheduled for next month.
