The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has published a consultation package setting out its proposed approach to implement the Government’s Retirement Reporting Framework, including new superannuation data collections and reporting requirements. APRA will collect and publish the data needed to give effect to the framework for the retirement phase of superannuation. The package includes a consultation paper on the proposed data collection, a supplementary technical paper on calculation and mapping of data to metrics and indicators, and draft reporting standards. Draft standards released cover definitions for superannuation data collections (Draft Reporting Standard SRS 101.0), RSE business model reporting (Draft Reporting Standard SRS 607.0) and a retirement member profile collection (Draft Reporting Standard SRS 611.1). Feedback will be sought through industry roundtables and written submissions, with submissions requested by 3 June 2026.
