The Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC), together with the Association of Moroccan Regions (ARM), co-organized an exchange workshop to examine how capital market financing solutions could be used by regions and local authorities, and to discuss related opportunities and challenges. Hosted at AMMC headquarters in Rabat, the workshop brought together around 40 participants, including representatives of regional councils and other regional bodies, the Moroccan Order of Chartered Accountants (OEC), industry professionals, and AMMC and ARM officials. Discussions covered the capital market’s role in diversifying regional funding sources and explored potential developments across regulatory, financial and accounting areas to facilitate access, including identifying knowledge-sharing and support needs and considering financing arrangements tailored to local and regional authorities.
