The Montenegro Capital Market Authority held an award ceremony following the completion of this year’s workshops and competition based on the educational board game Kapital, a financial literacy project for primary school students that is now in its fourth year. The program uses an interactive format to teach core capital market and personal finance concepts, including shares, investing, dividends, risk and company valuation. The competition ran from May 25 to June 2, 2026 and brought together 71 students from municipalities including Podgorica, Zeta, Ulcinj, Herceg Novi, Bijelo Polje, Kolašin, Pljevlja, Danilovgrad and Cetinje. First place went to Zorana Stajović and Marijana Markuš from Niko Maraš Primary School in Zeta. Students received prizes including tablets, scientific encyclopedias and copies of the Kapital game, while their schools received cash donations to support further educational work and financial literacy development. Across multiple stages of the game, participants applied knowledge gained in earlier workshops and developed skills in financial decision-making, investment planning and risk assessment through practical exercises linked to how capital markets work.
