Peru's Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores (SMV) announced the start of Investor World Week 2025 in Peru, as part of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) campaign focused on financial education and investor protection. The SMV will lead the initiative nationally for the ninth consecutive year, with the core week running from 13 to 17 October 2025. Activities scheduled across October will be delivered both virtually and in person and include talks, seminars, “meet the capital market” sessions, and the dissemination of educational materials in digital and printed formats, with support from participants in Peru’s securities market. The programme is intended to build investor awareness of available investment alternatives and their risks, the importance of dealing with authorised entities, and investors’ rights and obligations.
