The European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) announced it will hold a public hearing with Dominique Laboureix, Chair of the Single Resolution Board (SRB), on 3 March 2025. The session will focus on MEPs’ questions, in particular on the legislative package on crisis management and deposit insurance (CMDI). After Laboureix’s appearance, ECON will hear three candidates proposed by the European Commission for open SRB positions, covering the Vice Chair role and two board member seats. The SRB is responsible for dealing with distressed banks in the EU Banking Union.
