Hong Kong's Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau announced the appointment of Tamir Abdel-wahab, Martin Wong Long-yin and Kevin Cui Song as non-official members of the Task Force on Promoting Web3 Development. Their terms run until June 30, 2027. Abdel-wahab and Wong were appointed through the Member Self-recommendation Scheme for Youth, effective Aug. 1, 2026, while Cui's appointment took effect May 12, 2026. Established in July 2023 and chaired by the financial secretary, the task force advises the government on the sustainable and responsible development of Web3 in Hong Kong.
