Participants received practical guidance on recognizing common fraud tactics, avoiding fraudulent online messages, advertisements and shopping schemes, and acting promptly when fraud is suspected. The event stressed that banks will never request customers’ personal credentials and that public vigilance is central to fraud prevention. The Central Bank also called for greater dialogue and wider dissemination of information about fraudulent schemes, alongside continued cooperation among financial institutions, regulators, law enforcement authorities and support services.
