The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo said a delegation led by Governor Ahmet Ismaili held an official visit to the Croatian National Bank focused on strengthening the recovery and resolution function within the Kosovo central bank. The talks centered on how to further operationalize and advance that function in line with international standards and best practices, while also covering developments in the financial and banking sector, ongoing reforms and broader areas for closer institutional cooperation. Technical meetings between the two institutions examined Croatia's and the European Union's legal and institutional resolution framework. Discussions covered resolution planning and testing, the identification of critical functions and requirements related to the minimum requirement for own funds and eligible liabilities, or MREL. Governor Ismaili also met Croatian National Bank Vice Governor Sandra Svaljek to discuss banking sector developments, integration processes and Croatia's experience in advancing its institutional and regulatory framework in the European context. Both institutions agreed to further expand cooperation in recovery and resolution alongside their existing cooperation in other areas of shared interest.
