The Hellenic Capital Market Commission announced that its President, Vasiliki Lazarakou, has been unanimously re-elected by the European Regional Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions as the committee’s representative on the IOSCO Board of Directors for a third consecutive term, covering 2026–2028. IOSCO is described as the primary forum for international cooperation among securities regulators and the leading global standard setter for securities markets, with more than 200 members from over 100 countries representing over 95% of global capital markets. The European Regional Committee has 52 members and is one of IOSCO’s four regional committees, focusing on securities market issues in Europe.
