The Central Bank of Aruba published its Consumer Confidence Survey for the second quarter of 2026, showing that the Consumer Confidence Index rose 0.9 point to 93.6. Despite the improvement, the reading remained below the neutral level of 100, indicating continued consumer pessimism about economic developments in Aruba. Concerns about deteriorating business and economic conditions declined to 50% of respondents from 68% in the first quarter, while 42% expected greater difficulty finding a new job, down from 53%. Price pressures remained widespread, with 93% expecting higher prices over the next six months and 90% reporting that their income bought less than six months earlier. The Consumption and Borrowing Habits Index recorded the largest component increase, rising 1.2 points to 94.5.
