The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) reported that 21 companies within the Visy/Pratt group paid infringement notices totalling AUD 4.158 million for allegedly failing to lodge their financial reports on time. Each company paid AUD 198,000 over the alleged failure to submit reports for the year ended June 30, 2025, by October 31, 2025. Payment does not constitute an admission of guilt or liability, and the companies are not regarded as having been convicted of the alleged offence. Financial reporting compliance is an ASIC enforcement priority. Its surveillance of late and missing financial reports, which began in August 2025, has resulted in 48 infringement notices totalling more than AUD 9.3 million. Separately, ASIC has obtained court-imposed fines for failures involving financial reporting and related governance obligations, including more than AUD 1.1 million against three public companies in a single day.
