The Egmont Group’s Egmont Committee held an intersessional meeting in Baku, hosted by Azerbaijan’s Financial Monitoring Service, to coordinate work stemming from the 2025 Working and Regional Group Meetings and to prepare for the 31st Plenary in July 2025. The agenda covered strengthening international cooperation, improving data analysis techniques, and advancing the effectiveness of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing measures aligned with the Egmont Group’s 2022–2027 Strategic Plan. The meeting was opened by Elnur Aliyev, First Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, and Zaur Fatizada, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Financial Monitoring Service. The discussions are intended to inform preparations for the 31st Plenary in July 2025.
