The European Commission and the European Central Bank will jointly host their annual conference on European financial integration, with the 2025 edition focused on advancing the Savings and Investments Union to improve how the EU financial system connects savings with productive investment. The event also marks the launch of the European Commission’s annual European Financial Stability and Integration Review. Commissioner Maria Luís Albuquerque, ECB Vice-President Luis de Guindos and ECB Executive Board member Isabel Schnabel will participate alongside other speakers from public authorities, industry and civil society. Panels will cover unlocking retail participation in capital markets and supporting innovation and growth in the EU. This year’s European Financial Stability and Integration Review looks at EU household saving and investing habits and the factors shaping their financial decisions, and assesses opportunities and risks linked to the use of artificial intelligence in financial services. The conference is scheduled for 12 June 2025.
