Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Financial Services Users (CONDUSEF) renewed Principal Afore's Older Adult Service Badge, recognizing measures to provide clearer, simpler and more accessible support for older customers. Principal Afore introduced faster service protocols, express queues and dedicated service windows, expanded accessible financial education materials and trained more than 130 employees to address older adults' needs. The badge forms part of CONDUSEF's 2022 protocol encouraging financial institutions to provide specialized support to older adults. The authority highlighted continuing barriers to financial inclusion, noting that 42.1% of people aged 65 and older use the internet, compared with about 83% of the overall population, while 33% of older adults experience financial stress.
