The Central Bank of Luxembourg has launched a new edition of the Generation €uro Students’ Award, a school competition designed to improve understanding of central banking and monetary policy. Students ages 16 to 19 will compete in teams across three written and oral stages from October to March 2027. Teams will first complete a 30-question online quiz. Those advancing must submit a written monetary policy decision by Feb. 3, 2027, after which the five highest-ranked teams will present and defend their decisions before a Central Bank of Luxembourg expert jury in March 2027. Finalists will receive prizes and certificates, while the winners will be offered a study trip to the European Central Bank in Frankfurt and an internship at the Central Bank of Luxembourg. An information and launch meeting will be held at the central bank on Oct. 22.
