The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has released analytical data on the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s foreign currency reserves and foreign currency liquidity as at the end of May 2025, published in the International Monetary Fund’s Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity in line with the Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS). The release also reiterates the HKMA’s monthly publication cycle for Exchange Fund data: four press releases are issued each month, including three SDDS-related releases and a separate release on the Exchange Fund’s Abridged Balance Sheet and Currency Board Account under the HKMA’s transparency policy. For June 2025, the SDDS International Reserves release was scheduled for 6 June and the SDDS Analytical Accounts of the Central Bank release for 13 June, both marked as issued, with the SDDS reserves and liquidity template and the Exchange Fund Abridged Balance Sheet and Currency Board Account both scheduled for 30 June.
