The Dubai Financial Services Authority has appointed Armin Peter as Managing Director, Markets, effective 3 August 2026. He will also join the DFSA Executive Committee. In the role, he will lead the authority’s markets strategy and oversight functions for the Dubai International Financial Centre, with responsibility for the continued development, integrity and transparency of its markets. His remit will cover regulatory initiatives related to capital raising, market infrastructure, listings, disclosure standards, investor protection frameworks and broader market integrity. Peter brings nearly 30 years of capital markets and banking experience across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including more than 17 years at UBS in London, where he held senior roles including Global Head of Debt Syndicate and Sustainable Banking for EMEA. His background also includes advisory work on international debt capital market transactions, sustainable finance and digital market infrastructure, as well as board roles at the International Capital Market Association, the Global Financial Markets Association and Global Digital Finance.
