The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan announced it will host the InsureImpact Conference Pakistan (ICP) 2025 in Karachi on 12 February 2025, under the theme “Journey to an Insured Pakistan - Fostering Collaboration, Engagement & Innovation”. Federal and provincial ministers, senior government officials, and policymakers and experts from the financial and insurance sectors are expected to participate. The agenda covers a holistic overview of the insurance ecosystem, stakeholder engagement, disaster and agricultural insurance in the context of climate change, expansion of mandatory insurance, the potential of health insurance, and digitalisation, including development of an optimal blueprint for a digital insurance infrastructure. SECP positioned ICP 2025 as advancing its five-year Strategic Plan “Journey to an Insured Pakistan”, unveiled in December 2023, with the conference intended to support consensus-building and cooperation across the insurance sector toward 2028.
