The Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced a financial and investment literacy campaign for investors and the general public as part of World Investor Week 2025, running under the theme “Financial Well-Being Journey: Informed Decisions, Empowered Choices in the New Era of Finance”. The programme will be delivered through online channels during Thailand’s Investor Education Week from 6–12 October 2025, with cooperation from 25 capital market business operators participating in the “Public Empowerment through Capital Market Knowledge Initiative”. The seven-day campaign will cover seven topics: investment fraud and scams, financial health check-ups, financial planning and debt management, capital market investment products, foreign investment products, investment and tax planning, and retirement planning. Content will be published via Facebook (Start-To-Invest) and TikTok (ThaiSEC_Official), alongside a World Investor Week knowledge hub on the Smart to Invest website that compiles prior activities and future events. The SEC linked the campaign to IOSCO’s 2025 emphasis on “Relationship Investment Scams”, citing estimated global damages of up to USD 75 billion (approximately THB 2.43 trillion).
