The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market held meetings with Citibank and BNP Paribas in Poland to assess international institutional investor appetite for Ukrainian municipal bonds and the conditions under which such investments could be executed. Discussions covered the role of international banks as intermediaries between municipal issuers and investors, as well as practical considerations for channelling foreign capital into local-level instruments. The talks also focused on institutional investors’ requirements and approaches to building demand for Ukrainian municipal bonds. The Commission indicated it will continue working with international partners to broaden avenues for attracting foreign capital to finance Ukrainian communities.
