The Bank of Thailand and Bank Negara Malaysia signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen joint efforts on cybersecurity and digital fraud protection, formalising closer operational cooperation between the two central banks. The arrangement is intended to improve information sharing, capacity building and the exchange of best practices, with a focus on enhancing cybersecurity preparedness and reinforcing the cyber defences of both countries’ financial industries. The MoU was signed by Bank of Thailand Governor Dr. Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput and Bank Negara Malaysia Governor Dato’ Seri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour.
