The Swedish Ministry of Finance said the government has appointed new chairs for the Second, Third and Seventh AP Funds and a new vice chair for the Seventh AP Fund, changing the leadership of three AP Fund boards. The appointments cover roles that have already taken effect on 28 May and one change scheduled for 1 September. Niklas Johansson became chair of the Second AP Fund on 28 May, replacing Ingrid Albinsson, who had served as acting chair since 5 February and remains on the board as vice chair. Hans Lindberg and Henrik Saxborn took office on 28 May as chair and vice chair of the Seventh AP Fund, replacing Per Frennberg and Emma Ihre, who are leaving the board after eight years. Magdalena Wahlqvist Alveskog will become chair of the Third AP Fund on 1 September, replacing Christina Lindenius, who is leaving after nine years, with vice chair Johan Bygge serving as acting chair through 31 August. The ministry also said competence requirements for AP Fund board members have been tightened.
