The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency issued enforcement and authorization decisions covering market abuse controls, insurance claims handling and investment funds. It reprimanded Čateks over its treatment of inside information and insider lists, ordered Generali Osiguranje to remedy deficiencies in comprehensive motor insurance claims handling, and authorized Inspire Investments to establish and manage three privately offered hedge funds. Čateks improperly managed inside information concerning negotiations with SQ Capital over an acting in concert agreement for a takeover offer. It also failed to prepare, update and submit insider lists within the prescribed period, breaching Articles 7, 17 and 18 of the EU Market Abuse Regulation. Generali must strengthen its internal rules, forms, customer communications and controls to ensure timely and consistent claims decisions, prompt payment of undisputed amounts, proactive collection of documentation, compliant complaint handling and effective conflict of interest controls. The agency approved the Inspire MI, Inspire TAU and Inspire ZETA open-ended alternative investment funds. It also revoked its July 7, 2026 approval for UniCredit Invest’s onemarkets UC Target Maturity Fixed Income 09/2029 Fund, approved material prospectus changes for Erste Balanced and authorized the merger of Erste Dollar Balanced into Erste Balanced. Other decisions covered insurance company board appointments, insurance distribution licenses and register removals, alongside adoption of an updated 2026 public consultation plan.
