The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago has published a notice that 14 insurance intermediaries, comprising 13 agencies and one brokerage, ceased to hold registration certificates to carry on insurance agency or brokerage business during the quarter ended March 31, 2026. It also advised that no insurers ceased to hold a registration certificate to carry on insurance business in Trinidad and Tobago during the same quarter. The listed firms are A. Rauseo and Associates Limited, Astad Investments Limited, Black Tree Investments Limited, Calvin Mendez Financial Services Limited, CMFS General Insurance Limited, Gnosis Financial Services Limited, Insurance Wealth Accumulators Limited, K. Balkaran Investments Limited, Mc Shine Insurance Group Limited, Palm Insurance Brokers Limited, Penny Savers Insurance Limited, Rogo Financial Services Company Limited, Trinidad Financial Management Services Limited, and V&A Services Limited. Their status fell into one of three categories: the agency contract or agreement with the insurance company was terminated during the quarter, the registration certificate expired and was not renewed before expiry, or the certificate expired during the quarter and the firm re-registered under the Insurance Act in the following quarter commencing April 1, 2026. The notice is based on the Central Bank’s records as at the date of publication. The Central Bank’s summary of registered intermediaries shows 428 agencies and 38 brokerages at March 31, 2026, compared with 438 agencies and 39 brokerages at December 31, 2025, and it indicated there were no significant changes over the four reported quarters.
