The Reserve Bank of New Zealand published the 2025 Relationship Charter Survey results, reporting that 97% of regulated entities rated their relationship with the Bank as “good” or “very good”. The survey assesses how stakeholders view the Bank’s performance against the Relationship Charter, which sets principles for how Te Putea Matua and the financial sector work together. The latest survey focused on more senior stakeholders with the most regular contact with the Bank, reducing the number of respondents compared with previous years. Half of stakeholders cited the Bank’s communication as a key strength over the past 12 months, noting its responsive, visible and timely style; the Bank also indicated it will consider suggestions for improvement and make changes where appropriate. The Relationship Charter was launched in 2018, and this was the sixth year the Bank commissioned the survey, including feedback from the deposit-taking and insurance sectors.
