The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan published details of a financial literacy festival held in Dushanbe with the city executive authority, financial credit institutions, insurance organisations and development partners. The event was presented as part of the central bank’s work to widen public access to financial and insurance services, showcase products offered by financial institutions and raise financial literacy across the population. The bank said financial literacy festivals have been held in 31 cities and districts since 2022, reaching more than 72,000 people. It also reported that, since 2023, financial credit institutions have organised more than 5,600 educational events nationwide for over 330,000 participants, including school and university students, public and private sector employees, women and labour migrants. Supporting measures cited included the fingram.tj website, dedicated social media pages, the expansion of digital financial services and non-cash payments, and the adoption of the Government of Tajikistan’s financial literacy programme for 2026 to 2030, which is to be implemented with relevant state bodies and development partners. The Dushanbe festival also included presentations on access to credit for regional business development, state support for women’s entrepreneurship, green loans and fraud prevention, alongside a fair of financial and insurance services and an award for the best financial credit organisation in providing non-banking services to women entrepreneurs.

The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan reported on a financial literacy festival in Dushanbe held with local authorities, financial institutions, insurers and development partners as part of efforts to expand access to financial and insurance services and improve public financial literacy. Since 2022, similar festivals and over 5,600 educational events have reached more than 400,000 people nationwide, supported by digital initiatives, non-cash payment expansion and a government financial literacy programme for 2026–2030.
