The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has put out for public discussion a draft Board resolution that would amend a number of its normative legal acts, with the stated purpose of bringing the central bank’s regulatory framework into line with recent changes in Kyrgyz legislation. The alignment is intended to reflect amendments introduced by laws affecting road traffic, state registration of rights to immovable property and related transactions, and pledges (Law No. 79 of 24 April 2025); application of the state language (Law No. 195 of 9 August 2025); and the securities market (Law No. 126 of 26 June 2025), as well as the Budget Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (No. 59 of 16 May 2016) and other National Bank regulatory legal acts. Comments and proposals on the draft are due by 2 October 2025. The draft is available on the National Bank’s website under “Normative acts of the National Bank” / “Drafts for discussion” and on the unified public consultation portal (koomtalkuu.gov.kg).
