Peru's Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Funds (SBS) has ordered the dissolution of the Level 1 savings and credit cooperative Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito APROCREDI LIMITADA (Coopac Aprocredi) and notified member-depositors that eligible deposits are protected and will be paid out through the Cooperative Deposit Insurance Fund (FSDC). Deposits are covered up to the maximum insured amount of PEN 5,000 per depositor under Law No. 30822 and SBS Resolution No. 5061-2008 (as amended). Payouts for deposits covered by the FSDC are set to start on 22 August through Banco de la Nación offices nationwide; an online list identifies members included in this first stage, and a further communication will set the payment date for depositors not included in the initial tranche.
