Greece’s Ministry of National Economy and Finance announced that the Athens Stock Exchange has officially returned to developed market status after 13 years. The ministry said the upgrade broadens Greece’s potential investor base and strengthens its ability to attract international capital. The reclassification follows Greece’s recovery of investment grade status and the Athens Stock Exchange’s inclusion in the Euronext group. The ministry expects a larger and deeper capital market to expand financing options for businesses and support investment and economic growth.
