The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has completed a “Supervisory Inspections Management” project using supervisory technology (SupTech) solutions to automate the planning, conduct and follow-up of supervisory inspections and support more effective risk-based supervision. The dedicated platform centralises inspection data in a single database and equips the Central Bank departments responsible for oversight of financial institutions with software to execute inspection functions more efficiently. The system enables risk-based prioritisation, more effective inspection planning and quicker tracking of whether institutions have implemented supervisory instructions, while also standardising inspection procedures, accelerating report preparation through predefined templates and storing information in a unified electronic data repository.
