The Central Bank of Syria reported that Governor Abdul Qader Al-Husriya participated in a roundtable hosted by the Atlantic Council, co-sponsored with the U.S.-Syria Business Council, focused on developments in Syria’s banking sector. He highlighted progress on banking sector reform, strengthening anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT) systems, and cooperation with American partners aimed at reopening the Syrian Arab Republic’s account at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
