The Polish Financial Supervision Commission recalled that the Sejm of the Republic of Poland adopted the Act on financial market supervision on 21 July 2006, establishing KNF and replacing the Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Commission, the Securities and Exchange Commission from 2006, and the Bank Supervision Commission from 2008.

Polish Financial Supervision Commission recalls 2006 act that created the unified financial supervisor
The Polish Financial Supervision Commission recalled that the 21 July 2006 Act on financial market supervision established KNF as Poland’s unified financial supervisor. It replaced the Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Commission, the Securities and Exchange Commission from 2006, and the Bank Supervision Commission from 2008.
