The Hong Kong Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) and the eMPF Platform Company have established an Expert Group for the eMPF Platform to provide professional input as the platform moves into its second phase of onboarding from early March. The eMPF Platform has been operating since June 2024, with five smaller trustees joining as early adopters. From early March, the remaining trustees will migrate onto the platform in stages, bringing larger assets under management and more scheme members and employers. The Expert Group brings together professionals including IT experts, senior management from large technology or digital platform companies, an IT trade association representative, and a university scholar; it held its inaugural meeting on 11 February and will regularly review eMPF operations and provide recommendations on platform operations and service delivery.
