The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) took part in the 26th National Meeting of the National Federation of Private Pension and Life (FenaPrevi) in Bahia, with Superintendent Alessandro Octaviani and Market Infrastructure and Conduct Supervision Director Júlia Lins participating in panels focused on private pensions and life insurance. Octaviani joined a Q&A panel on SUSEP’s work and sector priorities, covering expectations for SUSEP’s 2026 regulatory plan, the universal life insurance product recently regulated under National Council of Private Insurance (CNSP) Resolution No. 484/2025, and regulatory and market challenges to expand access to supplementary pension plans in the context of increased longevity. The discussion also addressed possibilities to broaden Brazilian families’ financial protection and SUSEP’s approach to balancing regulation, innovation and consumer protection. Lins participated in a separate panel on “Challenges and Opportunities for the growth of life insurance and private pensions”, alongside representatives from government and industry bodies.
