The National Credit Union Administration issued three consent-based Orders of Prohibition in December 2025, permanently barring Rita Hartman, Teresa Margiotta and Evelyn Bittar from participating in the affairs of any federally insured depository institution. Each individual consented to the issuance of the order and agreed to comply with its terms to settle and resolve the National Credit Union Administration Board’s claims. Rita Hartman was a former employee of Muddy River Credit Union in Atchison, Kansas; Teresa Margiotta was a former employee of Peak Credit Union in Lacey, Washington; and Evelyn Bittar was a former employee of Transfiguration Parish Federal Credit Union in Brooklyn, New York. The agency noted that an Order of Prohibition bars a party from ever working for a federally insured depository institution and sits alongside other administrative orders such as cease-and-desist orders and civil money penalty assessments. The National Credit Union Administration’s enforcement orders and notices can be searched on its Administrative Orders webpage.
