The National Bank of Moldova reported that new deposits attracted in May 2026 totaled MDL 26,216 million. Of that amount, 69.0 percent came from businesses and 31.0 percent from individuals. Deposits in Moldovan leu remained the main saving form, with MDL term deposits making up 68.8 percent of total term deposits.
