The Central Bank of The Bahamas announced it will release a new Series 2024 CRISP Evolution BSD 1 banknote on 3 February 2025, updating the existing note with revised security and production features. The note is similar to the Series 2017 version but uses more vibrant green tones and a slightly wider reverse security thread (4 mm versus 3 mm). It is printed on Giesecke + Devrient’s Hybrid Green substrate, described as a more environmentally friendly version of the legacy Hybrid technology with more sustainable components, longer life, and a lower overall carbon footprint; the design includes a portrait of Sir Lynden O. Pindling on the front and a Drum Major leading the Royal Bahamas Police Force marching band on the back.
