The Angola Capital Markets Commission reported that it participated in a workshop in Luanda launching the Biodiversity Finance Initiative in Angola, organised by the United Nations Development Programme with government institutions from the environmental and financial sectors. The session presented BIOFIN and sought to mobilise institutional participants to implement biodiversity financing mechanisms and integrate environmental issues into national economic and financial planning. Discussions covered biodiversity financing opportunities in Angola, investment in environmental conservation and a proposal for a BIOFIN National Committee. The CMC delegation included Executive Administrator Herlânder Diogo, Department Director Dalvim Pipa and studies and financial education officer Mário Kadi.
