The Italian Securities Commission (Consob) has opened a market consultation on measures to simplify the process for listing investment funds in Italy and to align national rules more closely with those in other European Union countries. The main proposal would remove the obligation to draft and publish a specific listing document for European Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) and for open-ended reserved alternative investment funds (AIFs) managed by EU management companies. The consultation also proposes amendments to the appendix of the regulatory template that specifies the information to be included in the prospectus when Italian open-ended collective investment undertakings are admitted to trading. The consultation closes on 12 July 2025.
