The Bank of Namibia and the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority announced that they will jointly launch the annual 2025 Financial Stability Report on 24 April 2025. The report, issued under the theme "Safeguarding Financial Stability in a Changing Global Landscape," is expected to assess risks and vulnerabilities in Namibia’s financial system and evaluate its resilience to domestic and global shocks. According to the announcement, the report will cover trends in financial soundness indicators for domestic banking institutions, stress test simulations and developments in the non-bank financial institutions sector. It will also review payment infrastructure and regulatory developments, and conclude with macroprudential surveillance. The launch event will be streamed live on the Facebook pages of both institutions. The full report will be published on the official websites of the Bank of Namibia and the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority after the launch.
