The National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine provided an update on preparations for regulating the country’s virtual asset market under draft law No. 10225-d. If the law is adopted, the commission plans to develop around 18 implementing acts, most of which are already being prepared with reference to European practice and MiCA requirements. The planned framework will address licensing of service providers, information protection, market supervision and coordination with the National Bank of Ukraine and other authorities. The commission is also developing automated regulatory procedures, a single-window approach, digital services and artificial intelligence tools. It invited market participants to contribute to the implementing rules, including provisions for a clear transition period for companies already operating in Ukraine.
