The Financial Markets Standards Board (FMSB) and France's Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) have signed a Consultation Agreement intended to strengthen cooperation and give the AMF a structured role in supporting the development of FMSB guidance for wholesale financial markets. Under the agreement, the AMF can share expertise and provide input into draft FMSB guidance materials and publications, supporting work focused on robust global Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) markets and high standards of conduct. FMSB described this as its first consultation agreement with a key European regulator and linked the collaboration to engagement with FMSB’s global standards and the development and adoption of good market practices.
