The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP), represented by Superintendent Alessandro Octaviani, took part in the opening panel of a Confseg seminar in São Paulo on Complementary Law 213/2025 and the role of insurance cooperatives, focusing on how the new law broadens cooperatives’ ability to operate in the insurance market. In his remarks, Octaviani linked Complementary Law 213/2025 with Law 15.040/2024 (the General Insurance Contract Law), saying the combined reforms introduced major changes to Brazil’s private insurance framework and could support greater competition, higher consumer confidence and wider access to insurance.
